Industry focussed project advice

I have spent two days discussing the nature of our industry and the needs of buyers with the students at Norwich.

There is a lot of uncertainty and fear amongst them. Self doubt and limited understanding of the issues facing them was contributing to their insecurity. We discussed how this would have an impact on their creative output and how to combat it. Fear of getting started, were they doing the right thing, what will other say or think. All this and more was counteracted, by volume is good, others are opinion not authority on their direction, their self doubt slows them down, genius is a product passion and curiosity, anything which dilutes this is not to be heeded.

I hope I lifted their energy levels and got them back to enjoying photography and having real fun!
