Had a great time with a large number of students discussing issues ranging over whole professional landscape. A good deal of time was spent exploring the beginnings of a clear identity within their work. Discussing why this is so important and how to direct the work so that it meets the needs of the professional art buying market. Also reassuring them that self-doubt comes with the territory and is the driver of quality provided you surround your self with supportive practical criticism.
We had some real laughs and I hope they were feeling less burdened and more self confident by the end. This experience has been a part of a series of workshops I have been running on client-based perspectives for service-based industries.
